I've not written any long resolution posts but I have made a promise to myself that I will be more positive this year. It is so easy to grumble when things are going wrong but it doesn't really solve anything so this year I am going to appreciate the beautiful (and simple) things.
It seems I'm not the only one thinking this; as I was reading friends blogs this week, more people have had the same idea. Clare has been blogging 'Three beautiful things' for months now and there are loads of others on her blog list doing the same so here is my list tonight.....
1. Duvets. I love my duvet, I could quite happily snuggle up in my duvet for the day when the weather is cold like today.
2. Sledges. Wednesday nights are a pain. I pick Lou up from school at 3:10, I then have 50mins to kill before we have to go back to school to pick Jack up from tennis. Tonight we took the sledge to pick him up. Smiles all round. Well except for from the kids whose parents who hadn't brought theirs. And their parents. Whoops ;)
3. Roast potatoes. Do I need to say anything else?

very nice to meet you!!!
mmmm, roast potatoes ;-) Excellent idea re sledge, I can't remember there ever being snow this brilliant when my kids were the right age but we sledged even in a centimetre of sludge.
