Whoops! We are still here...

I'm in that trying to find a work pattern that works with and around a husband and two children and struggling at the moment.  Ironically, the children are not the problem, the husband who sees the wife in the house so thinks she can sort children out while he stays in bed until gone 10am never mind the fact that she is working is more of a problem...then not thinking to feed the children or find any kind of activity for the three of them to do together so that I can get on with work in peace. Could definitely do better at the moment Mr Nicsknots!

I am still here though and I have taken loads of photos over the last couple of weeks to show my WIPs like my Owls jumper....

There is lots of shaping going on on the back of this jumper..so far so good. I am on the first arm now. I can't wait to start the owls but they are almost the last thing to do!

I've also made good progress with my Granny Square blanket. I've been waiting for my LYS to get some more of the Creative Cotton yarn in but while I was waiting, Meadow Yarn tempted me with some other yarn (Record 210). I decided it *must* be a good match so it would be rude not to do a bit of research and buy a couple of skeins. They are a fab match, you can't tell the difference on the squares....

I was feeling a bit disheartened when I started hooking this again as I felt like I would never get it finished but I worked out the measurements and I have actually finished 25% of it so I will get it finished....maybe by Christmas?

I do have one FO.  Remember how I vowed I wasn't making a Puerperium cardi for a while because I have made 5 in less than a year but my sister mentioned that my little niece had grown out of hers because she is such a long-legs and that her Daddy liked her wearing it because it was easy to put on and it didn't have sleeves that were too long so I decided it would be rude to deny her of a cardi so here we have P numero 6.

Little Miss S looks mighty happy with her new cardi and it should keep her belly warm a little bit longer this time!

We have had a fair few new fabrics coming into Nicsknots this last few weeks, this fab one is very apt with all of the cycling we have been watching while the Olympics have been on this week....

I'm busy making lots of bags and needle rolls for my next exciting show and to restock the shop as it is looking a little sorry for itself at the moment. Hopefully I will have a better week next week!

So much gorgeousness in one post!

I love the Owl jumper, I've wanted to knit one pretty much since I first saw it, can't wait to see yours finished.

The granny squares are lovely, such bright beautiful colours you've chosen.

And the cardigan... so pretty! Your niece is a beautiful model :-)

Looking forward to seeing your Owls jumper progress!
Feel for you with the work-from-home situation should be easier once the children return to school?

Fab stuff - looking forward to seeing the owl jumper in the flesh, so to speak. Are you going to whizz one up for Dawn's Owl Corner at school? ;-) x
