Tomorrow is The World's Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillian Cancer Support. A couple of weeks ago, my cunning partner in crime and I hatched a plan...in a coffee shop, eating cake, funnily enough. We both wanted to host a coffee morning and decided that some people would be able to only come in the day, others only in the evening so to cover all bases (so no-one could make an excuse and say they couldn't come, really!), we decided to have two.
Tomorrow morning I will go to assembly at school and watch Lou get The Headteacher's Award then I will hot-foot it around to Katies and help her set up for her coffee morning from 1030-1pm then in the evening, she will come round to my house and we will host a wine and cake evening. coffee and tea will of course be available but you know, evening, wine, goes without saying really. We might even manage a few sneaky G+Ts as well. It's been one of those weeks.
I will have my cards with me and if I have any stock left, some bags too. 25% of everything sold will go to Macmillian. Some people have asked if they can buy before the event so I have extended the donating; if you buy anything from my Phoenix shop between now and Sunday, 25% will go to Macmillian. Don't forget that from each Christmas card, 1p goes to Phoenix charities; 40% to Cancer Research, 40% to The Children's Hospice and the remaining 20% to charities recommended by traders. I know, you're like me, we're not thinking about Christmas yet, are we?
