Amazingly...A Finished Object Friday!
In fact, we have two finished objects. I know, you are amazed and have probably fallen in a heap on the floor. I'll be honest, I'm shocked too. Last night I sat down to finish knitting and had a sleeve of P1 to finish and sewing-in to do, both sleeves of p2, about another 10 rows along the bottom of the cardigan, the buttons and sewing up to finish. That was at about 19:30, then the phone rang, then I got a huge tangle in my yarn so I had to spend 40 minutes crying and untangling yarn.
Amazingly, at about 23:10, I had two Puerperium cardigans pinned to my ironing board, blocking. This morning, we even had time for a quick photo-shoot before we wrapped them because I know you would all think I'd not got them finished in time if there was no photographic evidence so I present........
Puerperium #1 made with Rico Baby Classic DK. I forgot what I was doing on the sleeves so I have made mid-length ones but think it looks quite cute. My lovely friend gave me this yarn when I was deliberating over making the one cardigan in the techni-colour yarn that Lou had chosen....
Puerperium #2 is made from Sirdar Click and actually, now it is knitted and I have added the orange buttons, it doesn't look as mad as it did on the ball. Still bright but I like bright babies.
I realised I have missed a trick when wrapping these. Given that the class name is 'Barnowls' and the number of owl inspired woolly patterns, I should have made something like this. Maybe I have time to whip up a quick hat this afternoon?

So cute! I definitely need to add that pattern to my queue for next time baby knitting is required!
Sue, if you look on Ravelry, there is a bigger pattern of this design called Beyond Puerperium.
awww those cardigans are so cute, i love them!!!
they are gorgeous, I love the colours in the second!
No, wait, stop! Two cardis is enough! Especially two as darling as those. That Sirdar Click looks lovely in that sweater - not mad at all, just visually stimulating :)
These are grorgeous! I love them!
they are both beautiful! lucky babies =)
Those jumpers are beautiful. My wonderful Mother in Law used to make jumpers like these for my little ones and I just loved them to bits. The buttons are very practical for kids so i think you made the right choice of pattern though the owls are lovely.
Absolutely adorable!
