FO Friday. It must be love!

I've finished my first grown-up lace! I've blocked it. Even though this is cotton so I'm not convinced blocking really works with cotton as it does with wool but it looks loads better after being pinned out for 24hrs and the lace looks loads better.

As suspected this isn't long enough for me; that'll teach me for using DK yarn rather than worsted.  L has decided that she likes it though and was even going to wear it to town with ends un-sewn, wrapped around her like an old granny yesterday so maybe she will wear it for the wedding and we will match.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to knit this. The plain knitting in the middle took 3 hours. Amazing. I felt a bit like I was the annoying person telling everyone that something is easy to make when really it isn't, when I was at knitting earlier on in the week but honestly, it was easy!

I can't believe something this intricate-pretty looking was an easy knit! Really lovely work, and a great colour, too. :D Your first grown-up lace is a definite success, I hope there's more to come.

That came out really pretty :) Do you think it would be easy to make larger ?
