Remember a while ago, I blogged about Woolsack and how they were organising people to make cushions for all of the Olympic competitors and how I was making one? If not, have a look here and here to catch up.....
That was months ago and over the months there have been lots of obstacles for the lovely Woolsack organisers to get over to get the cushions to the competitors. Many a time I have sat there thinking that my cushion would never get to a competitor thanks to the strict rules and regulations that are the Olympics but this morning I received an email from Neisha Bernard-Thomas to say that she had received my cushion!
Neisha is an 800m athlete from Grenada. I've been reading up on her this morning; she even used to hang around with Usain Bolt!
Here she is with her other team mates at Sunderland University yesterday. Thanks to the wonderful weather we are having, they couldn't get out and do any training. Maybe a snooze with their cushions would be a better use of their time....
Well done and thank you to all of the organisers of this event. I am fairly sure that there have been times when they have wanted to charter a plane to fly over the Olympic Park and throw them all out just so that they could be distributed!!

That's great news. It's ridiculous how hard LOCOG have made it, but how exciting that an Olympic athlete now has your cushion!
Oh that's so cool! And nice to read something positive about the Olympics for a change (I am sick to death of the effect it's having down here!).
